Local reading and release services

PaperMori stores your library, notes, reading history, interests and saved links locally. This Android Release has an empty service address, so accounts, cloud sync, discussions and cloud AI are unavailable. There are no advertising or analytics SDKs, and automatic system backup is disabled.

Online sources

Local mode does not mean completely offline. Search terms or paper IDs are sent to arXiv, which also supplies PDFs. External sources or lists you open are handled by the relevant website or browser. Recipients receive IP addresses and request information under their policies; we do not promise external sites keep no logs.

Explicit previews of saved links

Saving, editing and listing links do not visit their websites. A preview shows the destination and requires consent for that visit; a new destination needs another confirmation. HTTPS requests include the URL path, query and connection information, but not fragments, account credentials, cookies, notes or your library. Complete saved URLs can contain personal information in queries or fragments.

Previews execute no webpage scripts and save no complete webpages. Preview text and bounded static image caches are stored locally and can be cleared. Clearing images keeps links and saved summaries. PDF thumbnails are generated on the device from downloaded PDFs.

Export, restore and clearing

You explicitly export data through the system document picker. Link JSON backups are separate from paper-library backups. Both are unencrypted, and complete links can contain private information. Your chosen file service may upload or sync backups under its settings; the developer does not receive these files.

Restoring link data clears preview images while leaving papers and notes unchanged. Deleting local records, clearing app data or uninstalling does not delete exported copies, files in document providers or records held by external sites. Manage them separately.

Service availability in this release

This release has no configured account service, sync, discussions or cloud AI. These features are unavailable and reading data stays local. Online paper sources and websites that you choose to open or request still receive the corresponding network requests.

Policy updates

We update this policy when features or data handling change. New uses of data will be explained before you use the relevant feature.
